This hydro project is funded from the World Bank's Africa Renewable Energy Access Program.
Since the plant began operation in 2013, more than 149 households benefit from water-powered electricity. The town of about 2,000 had been off the grid since the previous micro hydro power plant was destroyed during the country's civil war.
