This new hydroelectric system is an upgrade and expansion to an existing 75kW system installed in 1989. The hydropower plant supplies power to the lodge and outdoor education centre which can host up to 225 guest at a time and 75 resident staff. With addition of load management panels, the new system can support the electricity needs while generating at a lower output during low water level during summer months.
