Historic Harrisville, Inc. (HHI), the owner of the Cheshire Mills Hydroelectric Project replaced its existing obsolete hydroturbine/generator
and controls with modern equipment that will meet the requirements of its FERC Exemption From Licensing and its expected net metering arrangement with the
local power grid utility, Eversource.
The Project is located at an existing hydroelectric dam on the Nabanusit Brook in Harrisville, New Hampshire in the
County of Cheshire. The existing quarried stone dam dates from 1856 and was constructed for processing water for a texture mill. Power will
be transmitted through a new 208-volt transmission line that connects the generating unit to the existing electrical distribution
system for the Cheshire Mills complex.
